22 days to go!! We send back to the semi final in 2015. Tuggeranong Woman celebrate after scoring goal to secure Tuggeranongs spot in the final. Tuggeranong later went onto to win the title.

24 Days - Hockey ACT Season

24 Days to Go!

On this special day with only 24 days to go until Hockey ACT's Round we celebrate the International Women's Day. In Hockey we have many amazing woman wether its a coach, manager, umpire, technical staff or even supporter all of these amazing woman go with little to no recognition. A very special woman to me is my wife. She's achieved so much in the sport she loves while being an amazing mother and an even better wife. Thanks to Emily and all other woman who make the world an amazing place.

A few days down and slowly preparing for the work ahead. We bring up this image, You can always tell an amazing hockey player by the way they can carry and ball. This defender has not only beaten his player but been able to carry the ball with one hand and on his back stick.

26 Days - Hockey ACT Season

26 Days to go!! 

Now with under a month to go until the 2017 Hockey ACT Season begins, we continue the count down. This image was taken during the yearly Charity event held in Canberra. The Chris McKinnon Memorial Weekend, this weekend raises money for a breast cancer. The image is like any normal coin toss photo but both mens teams are wearing special jerseys that have been slightly modified to pink.

27 Days to go! Can you hear that? Well I can still hear the cheers from the St Pats Fans from the 2nd grade win in 2015! Hooter blows and all the players run in and congratulate each other.

28 Days to go.

Creeping closer to the 1st hit of the 2017 Season we bring up this image. A clash between Albury and United Hockey Clubs. With Albury and Goulburns inclusion into the Canberra competition in 2014 this made the season tough and more competitive. Lets hope they are here to stay and don't mind the long drive.

The thing I love about hockey is the skill it takes to control a small white ball with a stick and still have enough hand eye coordination to beat players and score goals. WOW.

30 Days - 2017 Hockey ACT Season

30 Days to go to 1st hit of the the 2017 Hockey ACT Season. 

When the crunch is on and you have half a game before your season is over this is when the coach gathers in there team for one inspirational speech. This is a perfect image of St Pats 1st grade coach giving his team some final instructions before they hit it field to win the 2015 title.

This is an image of a special event held in Canberra. Masters World Cup 2016. Worlds best veteran hockey players from around the world ascended on Canberra to compete for the title of best team in the world for their age group.

34 & 33 Days - 2017 Hockey ACT Season

WOW! 33 Days to go until the 2017 Hockey ACT Season kicks of.

Well you have all seen my Summernats count down in December / January, well get ready for KCP count down to the 2017 hockey season.

Over the last two years KCP has had the privilege to cover the 1st grade / 2nd Grade season and many events held in the ACT for Hockey ACT. Capturing all the special moments that have happened in the nations capital.

Well lets get this count down started. I was a little slow with getting the 1st post up so three photos will be featured first.

KCP has covered a few international Hockey tournaments, alongside many amazing photographers. These event were the International Festival of Hockey held in Melbourne in 2016 and Aus V China Test series held in Sydney in 2015.

2nd Image - (34 Days) Male Aus Player passionately celebrates after scoring a solo goal against India in Melbourne in 2015.

3rd Image - (33 Days) Canberra's very own Kalindi Commerford pulls on the Hockeyroos Jersey in her clash with India in Melbourne 2015.

NSW Bushfires

Yesterday I was sent out by News Corp (Sunday Telegraph) to photograph the fires burning out in the NSW bush land near Queanbeyan. 3,400 hectares had been burnt with the loss of 15 homes. This was the 1st time I have had to photograph such damage, and something no one should have to deal with.

KCP & Family Trip to Tas Day 13

Day 13 - Twelve apostles 

Another long drive but it was worth it. Victoria gets better and better. This was the 1st time I have seen this place and wish we had more time to just stand and watch the nature unfold. If in Victoria I would highly suggest visiting this place but be prepared to be with a crowd.

Sadly this was the final post from the trip the day after we ventured home to Canberra. Driving a solid 10 hours. 

I hope everyone liked my images. Hopefully I can go on another Holiday soon.

KCP & Family Trip to Tas Day 12

Day 12 - Cape Otway lighthouse

After 2 hour Drive from our accomodation to Cape Otway (was meant to be 1.5 hour, but slow tourists) we made it to this beautiful place in VIC. Very historically and a simple "destination" but for a simple location this one lighthouse is the best model. That's why there are many different photographs on one subject. Just couldn't choose just one.

Slowly coming to the end of the trip but still some amazing photographs and locations to come.

Day 9 - Salamanca Markets.

Well back into some more photos. Arrived home and found a few minutes between events to edit and upload some photos. These photos are from the Morning before the wedding of my two amazing friends. My wife, myself and our son dared to venture to the famous Salamanca markets. This is an amazing place with great markets down side is they are so popular that everyone attends, as seen in the images.
